I'm Michael Gilligan—actor, performer, event planner, artist, and general ringleader of delightful chaos. Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, I’m on a mission to make the world a sillier, more thrilling place.

Through art, performance, and a sprinkle of theatrical mischief, I navigate the strange dance between modern sociopolitical musings and pure, unfiltered escapism. Whether I'm crafting immersive experiences or orchestrating moments of joy, one thing’s for sure this space is built for wonder, laughter, and a dash of the unexpected.

So buckle up, grab a metaphorical (or literal) top hat, and let’s make some magic. Welcome to the show!

My love for the world of theatre began at a young age, captivated by the magic of storytelling and spectacle. It was in high school where I truly found the passion for being on the stage, and embraced the thrill of bringing characters to life. This same passion led me to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre from West Virginia University, where I had the privilege to hone my craft and deepened my understanding of the art form.

Outside of my personal experience, I am also a firm believer in the benefit of theatre and art classes for the youth of America. As someone who personally found a safe space and a love for the world of performance, I have found a personal goal in spreading that same love to others with my background in education.

Today, I continue to share my love for performance, and spreading the transformative power of theatre! [Click HERE for my resume!]

When researching the background of the Wedding Planning industry to better understand the character Missoula in Father of the Bride, I became instantly obsessed with the idea of making dream weddings a reality for others.

From linen swatches to ceremony floral arrangements, every little detail was so intriguing that I had decided to minor in Event Planning at West Virginia University. Now with both Event Planning and Musical Theatre as my key wheelhouses, I have a strong grounding to pursuit any challenge in either field as both backgrounds work well together to make any performance a stellar experience. Weddings are one of the oldest performances of all! [Click HERE for more!]

A valuable outlet that then turned into a small-scale business opportunity, art in any form has always been something that I have been deeply connected to. From physical pieces of work that I have created, to experiential pieces that I have performed in, art as a whole is a dream I strive to make reality.

I have had the ability to dabble in not only honing my stage presence, but also the adaptability of many different mediums in the world of art. Some most notably would be my line of earrings and androgynous clothing created in 2021 under the name ‘Big Stinky',’ my pottery work that tends to fall in a realm between clowns and aliens, and larger commissioned pieces that have expanded into a absurdist and expressionistic view.
